About Me

Personal Statement

Eileen Gatt is a Scottish design brand, specialising in luxury handmade jewellery and silverware.

Eileen has been designing and making jewellery for over 20 years. Her love affair with metal began back in her art school days, when she first studied at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art in Dundee. Eileen then went on to do her Masters in Goldsmithing, Silversmithing, Metalwork and Jewellery at London’s Royal College of Art.

Eileen draws inspiration from the Polar wilderness and Inuit culture, Scottish folklore, and the small fishing communities found along Scotland’s East Coast. Inspired by generations past, to be cherished by generations to come.

Eileen's jewellery has a strong narrative element, with many of the designs allowing for customisation, tailoring each story to the wearer. Eileen's silverware tells individual stories, and each piece has subtle icy finish, echoing the cold wintry landscapes that influence her work.

All of Eileen's jewellery and silverware is handmade, and bear the iconic Edinburgh Castle hallmark.
