About Me

Personal Statement

I am an avid feltmaker and textile crafter, inspired by my homeland of Scotland and my love of animals.
I got a needle felt kit a couple of years ago and loved it, I love sculpting the wool and shaping it. I got that excited about the whole process, that I dived straight in and started making my own creations.
My love for crafts is ever growing, as is my continuing challenge to felt anything and everything. This has led to some pretty bizarre creations, inspirations stemming from video games and anime to Scottish traditions and wildlife.
Felting is my chosen medium as I can create 3D sculptures, intricate jewellery or even flat works, I love to experiment with colour and pride myself in adding finite detail to every piece.
I specialise in felt brooches and jewellery. I also love to do flat work, including pet portraits and adapting pictures or designs into textiles. I have also done many commissions involving sculpting animals out of felt and am always up for the challenge of turning somebody's idea into felty realism.
I am keen to expand my range with more artistic pieces, nothing is too much trouble, the more complicated the commission the more fun it is!
