I am a tapestry artist. My work is handwoven for public and private commission, and also for exhibition.
The images are abstract in design and are translations from digitally composed and collaged designs. They have combinations of painterly areas; flat planes of colour; drawn and printed marks.
Colour is the dominant theme and, whilst the images are abstract, plants, flowers and observed qualities of light have become a big inspiration behind the work.
Tapestries range in scale from miniature to several metres square.
