Sandra’s designs are often influenced by her love of nature, art and especially travel which has allowed her to explore other cultures far and wide. She has travelled extensively around the world from Peru through to Japan. She is fascinated by the ancient Etruscans and their rich legacy.
She has been lucky to combine her love of travel while studying in Italy. This was on a one-to-one basis with a Master Goldsmith in Umbria. On one course she learned Etruscan style granulation. She followed this up with a metal weaving course where she created 22ct gold using alloys, and this was drawn down into wire as fine as hair which was then woven. After that she then took a course in Chasing and Repousse at Alchimia Contemporary Jewellery School in Florence.
Sandra is passionate about creating jewellery and the precious metals she works with. Their tactile and visual qualities hold a deep fascination for her.
Her most recent work is created from sterling silver and 22ct gold.
She has had her jewellery exhibited in Spain, France and the UK.
