Thomas Hawson has been a self-employed furniture
designer/maker since graduating from his fine craft degree at High Wycombe in 1997. He completed his practice-based Ph.D. project in Contemporary Icelandic Crafts in 2007, since then he has finished building his studio. Having traveled, studied and exhibited throughout the Nordic region, he feels grounded in the Nordic traditions of woodwork, and inspired to share his enthusiasm, experience and skills in this area. Thomas has just resumed his making practice, making art.
