About Me

Personal Statement

Woodland Craft, then Andeezartinwood, now Andrewmoore-woodcarver was started in Scotland in 1986 by Andrew Moore, who has been woodcarving since 1975,starting in Wales. The original items that this self-taught artist embarked upon were Welsh love spoons, followed by designer wooden mirrors, 3D carvings and sculptures of British wildlife and mythical characters. All of these items are included in his products today and have been augmented with dramatic, handcarved burr elm bowls and mirrors, all made by following nature's own shapes and sizes and without inflicting calculated design upon the timber. Other products include long baguette bowls, (some with carved birds incorporated), cheese boards with cheese knives the shape of a mouse and even thistle door stops. Products are aimed at the Scottish tourist market, being sold through galleries, quality craft shops, Scottish Natural Heritage and direct to the public at craft, art and design fairs and mail order.
Andrew has recently become a member of Angus open studios (AOS) so his premises are open for visits any day of the year but especially at end of May. Please visit www.angusopenstudios.com for further details and many more examples of his work. He concentrates more now on online sales and is an Ebay top rated seller. visit www.stores.ebay.co.uk/andeezartinwoodshop
Goods are also being sold through Folksy.
