Exploring Texture and Form in Jewellery Making

Learn a variety of surface textures and jewellery making techniques and make a unique piece of textured silver jewellery in this two-day course in a well-equipped jewellery workshop within Fire Station Creative in Dunfermline. Suitable for beginners or those wishing to further their skills.
For beginners the first few hours will be spent learning and exploring basic techniques such as:
You will develop various techniques, producing copper samples and in the second day you will make a piece of silver jewellery such as a ring, earrings or pendant.
For those of you who are returning with existing jewellery making skills you can work on your own projects or continue to develop your skills and knowledge by following the structured sessions.
More advanced techniques could include:
Classes are small to ensure everyone gets plenty of individual tuition.
This course will be taught by Caroline Finlay who has many years experience teaching a wide range of jewellery techniques in further education.
Price includes refreshments. Please let Caroline know in advance of any dietary requirements. Lunch is available in the cafe downstairs or you can bring your own. All materials are covered within the costs except silver for your final piece should you decide to use it. This is usually between £5 and £20 depending on the scale.
